Director
(1) Each directorate or board shall have one whole-time working director to act as head of the directorate or board.
(2) The vice-president shall appoint the director on the recommendation of the committee under sub-section (6).
(3) The term of office of the Director shall be four years and he shall be eligible for re-appointment for one further term.
(4) Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-section (3), if a director does not conduct himself in accordance with his position, fails to fulfill his duties or does any work contrary to the interest of the Commission, the Vice-Chairman may remove him from office at any time. But before removing him from the position, he should be given a reasonable opportunity to present his explanation.
(5) The director's remuneration, facilities and other conditions of service shall be as prescribed.
(6) To recommend names to the vice president for the appointment of the director, a three-member recommendation committee will be formed under the coordination of a member of the National Planning Commission appointed by the president, consisting of a professor of the relevant subject and an expert.
(7) The committee under sub-section (6) shall recommend names to the vice-president for appointment to the post of director within fifteen days from the date of commencement of its work.
(8) The committee as per sub-section (6) shall recommend for the appointment of a suitable person for the position of director from among those who have competence related to the work of the directorate or the board and have at least fifteen years of experience in the position of a professor or a special category of the government of Nepal, who have excellent managerial skills and skills, a clean image and professionalism. will do.
(9) The procedure to be followed while recommending a name for appointment as a director by the recommendation committee under sub-section (6) shall be as determined by the said committee itself.
