Section 16
<br> where traditional education can be provided
In order to preserve and build up the values, beliefs, culture, customs and practices related to education that have been passed down from time to time and to continue them in time, institutions such as Gurukul, Gumba or Madrasah can be provided to children.
(2) The Gurukul, Gumba or Madrasa to be operated to provide education as per sub-section (1) shall be registered at the relevant local level.
(3) The Gurukul, Gumba or Madrasah which is registered and operated in accordance with sub-section (2) while providing education to children shall comply with the other conditions and standards determined and prescribed by the local level according to the law.
(4) In addition to the education provided by the educational institutions such as Gurukul, Gumba and Madrasa which are registered and operating according to sub-section (2), education should be provided according to the curriculum determined by the Government of Nepal.
(5) Other arrangements related to providing traditional education shall be as prescribed.
(2) The Gurukul, Gumba or Madrasa to be operated to provide education as per sub-section (1) shall be registered at the relevant local level.
