: The tasks, duties and powers of the Council shall be as follows:-
(a) To approve the national policy and plan related to disaster management (b) To give necessary instructions to the executive committee and the authority regarding the policies and plans to be adopted in relation to disaster management,
(c) To provide necessary policy guidance to the provincial and local levels in disaster management (d) To give instructions to the executive committee and authorities regarding the management of financial resources for disaster management and to facilitate the necessary for the same,
(e) Evaluating activities related to disaster management.
