(1) Notwithstanding anything else written in this Act, a separate body shall be formed in accordance with the law for the accreditation of all programs related to medical education.
(2) Until the organization as per sub-section (1) is established, the work related to accreditation will be done by the Standards and Accreditation Directorate.
(3) Accreditation of certificate level programs under the Council will be done by the directorate or the agency designated by the commission.
(4) Notwithstanding anything contained in existing laws, after the commencement of this Act, the Council shall not conduct any technical programs related to health education below the certificate level.
(5) Any technical programs related to health education below the certificate level conducted by the Council shall be phased out as prescribed and upgraded according to the prescribed standards.
(6) The procedure related to accreditation shall be as prescribed.
