Section 8
Functions, Duties and Powers of the Committee
In addition to the functions, duties and powers mentioned elsewhere in this Act, the other functions, duties and powers of the Committee shall be as under:-
(a) To formulate the necessary policy to make the contributory pension system reliable and effective and submit it to the Government of Nepal,
(b) To approve the annual program and plan of the Fund,
(c) To determine the fund's capital management and investment basis (norms) and criteria,
(d) To do the necessary work to make the fund sustainable, reliable and orderly,
(e) To arrange for the employees who are required to provide pension or gratuity in accordance with this Act to receive funds in a simple manner,
(f) To operate the fund in a frugal and systematic manner,
(G) Conducting necessary study and research regarding the inclusion of employees other than government employees in the contributory pension system. (h) To perform such other functions as may be prescribed.
