Section 20
Obligations of public organizations and commercial establishments
: (1) The responsibilities of public organizations and commercial establishments in relation to disaster management shall be as follows:-
(a) To prevent disasters from happening in their buildings, industries, offices or commercial centers, make disaster safety tools, equipment, materials, emergency exits and other arrangements as prescribed,
(B) Providing necessary assistance to the Executive Committee, other committees and authorities related to disaster management in all activities including data collection, damage assessment, relief, restoration and reconstruction. (c) To give basic orientation training to its employees and workers in relation to disaster management as prescribed by the authority,
(d) To keep the resources used in disaster management in readiness,
(e) To provide their buildings and other structures for emergency purposes as per the orders of Nepal Government, Authority, State Government, Local Level and Chief District Officer, (f) To assist in rescue and relief distribution work under the supervision of the concerned officer,
(g) To arrange disaster risk reduction mechanism and keep it in readiness,
(h) To manage garbage and pollution appropriately and adopt measures to minimize the negative impact it may have on the environment and people's life,
(i) In the event of a disaster, immediately notify the nearest security agencies and the local emergency operations center.
(2) Public organizations and commercial establishments must formulate and implement a disaster management plan under the disaster management plan of the Government of Nepal, the provincial government and the local level.
