To be chairman and member of the Authority, at least a bachelor's degree from a recognized educational institution in the field mentioned in sub-section (1) of section 5 of the Act and at least ten years experience in the case of the chairman and at least seven years in the case of a member in the relevant field. Can appoint Acting Chairman: If the post of Chairman becomes vacant for any reason, the Government of Nepal may appoint a member or a senior director of the authority to act as Acting Chairman for a maximum period of six months until the position of Chairman is filled.
