(1) No one shall appear, plead and argue on behalf of any party of the case in any case without being a legal practitioner.
(2) Regardless of what is written in sub-section (1), a legal practitioner who has received a legal practitioner certificate from a foreign country may appear in court on behalf of a party and argue in court with permission from the relevant court.
(3) Notwithstanding anything written in sub-section (1), in districts where the number of persons entitled to practice law according to the law is less than 10, there shall be no hindrance to appear, plead and argue before the court on behalf of any party of the case. .
(4) Anyone who commits any act contrary to sub-section (1) shall be liable to a fine up to two thousand rupees or to imprisonment for a term which may extend to 6 months or to both.
