(1) The period of the license shall not be extended to thirty years and shall be as written in the contract.
(2) Notwithstanding anything written in sub-section (1), the Government of Nepal may extend the period of the permit for a maximum of five years if the permit holder applies for an extension of the opening period due to the need to extend the period of the permit due to special circumstances and if the conduct of the application is reasonable. > (3) The duration of the permit will be determined on a prescribed basis.
