Section 33
Inter-Governmental Finance Council

(1) There will be the following Inter-Governmental Finance Council for the necessary consultation and coordination between the Government of Nepal, the provinces and the local level regarding inter-governmental finance management:-
(a) The Finance Minister of the Government of Nepal - Coordinator (b) Finance Minister of the State – Member (c) Fourteen people recommended by the province, including one woman from each province, from among the president or vice president of the rural municipality and the head or deputy head of the municipality - members
(d) Three members, including at least one woman, nominated by the Ministry from among experts in finance. (e) Secretary, Ministry – Member Secretary (2) According to clause (d) of sub-section (1), the term of office of the nominated member will be three years.
(3) Notwithstanding anything written in sub-section (2), if the nominated member does not fulfill his official duties, the Ministry may remove him as a member at any time. But before removing him from the membership, he should be given an opportunity to present his justification.
(4) The meeting of the Inter-Governmental Finance Council shall be held once in the month of Chaitra every year and other meetings shall be held on the date and time specified by the Coordinator.
(5) In the meeting of the Inter-Governmental Finance Council, the Chairman of the Commission or the members designated by him and the representatives of other bodies may be invited.
(6) Other procedures related to the meeting of the Inter-Governmental Finance Council shall be as determined by the Council itself.
