Section 5
Business of Ayurveda Medicine
5.1 Unregistered doctors shall not be allowed to do business: 5.1.1 After the commencement of this Act, no one other than a registered doctor shall be allowed to do business of Ayurveda medicine directly or indirectly. 5.1.1A Notwithstanding anything written in 5.1.1 above, those who do not meet the minimum qualification to be registered with the Council, but who have attained the educational qualifications of Ayurveda Shastri or Vaidya Bhushan in Ayurveda Science, Certificate in Ayurveda or equivalent, Assistant Ayurveda Worker or equivalent to practice medicine independently Ayurveda group technicians who want or are in the service of Nepal Government can do Ayurveda medicine business by registering in the register of the sub-committee formed by the council. 5.1.1b. In the case of a person who has reached the age of 50 years and has received the recommendation of the concerned district office of Vyhora that he has been involved in Ayurveda medicine for three generations, he can do medical business by taking a permit according to a separate provision as determined by the council within one year from the date of commencement of this Act. 5.1.2 Notwithstanding anything written in sub-section 5.1.1, the business of producing or selling Ayurvedic medicine as specified shall be as specified. 5.2 Right to issue certificates and prescriptions: 5.2.1 The registered physician shall have the right to certify the following and issue certificates:- 5.2.1.1 To stamp birth and death certificates. 5.2.1.2 Typing or issuing certificates on certificates related to Ayurveda medicine or physical or mental fitness. 5.2.2 Provisions regarding giving prescription of specified Ayurvedic medicines shall be as prescribed.
