Section 7
Work, Duties and Powers of the Commission
The work, duties and powers of the Commission shall be as follows:- (a) Studying the overall situation of the Madhesi community and making recommendations to the Government of Nepal on policy, legal and institutional reforms to be made in this regard,
(b) To formulate a national policy and program for the protection and promotion of the rights and interests of the Madhesi community and for the empowerment of such community and recommend to the Government of Nepal for implementation,
(c) To study and investigate whether the provisions related to the protection and promotion of the rights and interests of the Madhesi community and the empowerment of such community have been effectively implemented and suggest to the Government of Nepal regarding the steps to be taken for effective implementation,
(d) To make suggestions to the Government of Nepal regarding the improvements to be made in the legal, policy and institutional arrangements regarding the protection and promotion of the rights and interests of the Madhesi community and the empowerment of such community,
(e) To review, monitor and evaluate the implementation of policies and programs related to the Madhesi community (f) To monitor or cause the implementation of the recommendations or suggestions made by the commission (g) To recommend to the Government of Nepal to formulate and implement a special program for the development and empowerment of economically or socially backward people within the Madhesi community,
(h) To study and research the various languages, scripts, culture, history, traditions, literature, arts within the Madhesi community and formulate a program for the preservation and development of such languages, scripts, culture, history, traditions, literature, arts and recommend to the Government of Nepal. > (j) Conduct awareness programs for the protection and promotion of the rights and interests of the Madhesi community and for the empowerment of such community,
(j) To end the corruption, superstition and all kinds of exploitation existing in the Madhesi community and to formulate a program for the empowerment of the Madhesi community and recommend to the Government of Nepal,
(k) Whether the international treaty agreement to which Nepal is a party has been implemented in relation to the Madhesi communityFollow up and make necessary recommendations or suggestions to the Government of Nepal for implementation.
(l) Collecting complaints against persons or organizations violating the rights of the Madhesi community and recommending to the relevant agency to investigate and investigate the same.
(D) Recommend to the Nepal government to list the surname after conducting a detailed study and research regarding the identity of the Madhesi community.
(d) To review, monitor and evaluate the awareness programs conducted by the Government of Nepal and other organizations for the protection, promotion and empowerment of the rights and interests of the Madhesi community,
(n) To create and implement a code of conduct for the chairman, members and employees of the commission (t) To approve the annual plan and program of the Commission.
(b) To formulate a national policy and program for the protection and promotion of the rights and interests of the Madhesi community and for the empowerment of such community and recommend to the Government of Nepal for implementation,
