Section 6
High Court Judge

(1) The total number of judges of the High Court shall not be increased to one hundred and sixty persons.
(2) Every High Court subject to sub-section (1) shall consist of one Chief Justice and such number of other judges as may be determined by the Judicial Council, not less than ten persons.
(3) The Chief Justice shall, on the recommendation of the Judicial Council, assign at least three judges of the relevant High Court to perform the duties of the Bench established as per Section 5.
(4) Among the judges appointed according to sub-section (3), the most senior judge will act as the main judge.
(5) The Government of Nepal may increase or decrease the number of judges as per sub-section (1) on the recommendation of the Judicial Council based on the workload of the case. It can be corrected by setting up a separate sheet with reasons so that the error judgment does not have a material impact.
