(1) Before selling any product other than Dudhdani and Munto, the producer or distributor shall submit an application to the Central Food Research Institute in the format as per Schedule-4 along with the sample of the product and the receipt as specified by the committee for the certification of such product.
(2) If any application is received in accordance with sub-rule (1), the Central Food Laboratory shall carry out the necessary investigation in this regard and certify that the relevant product is in accordance with the quality determined or recommended by the Nepal Quality Office and is suitable for human consumption within three months from the date of receipt of such application. p>
