Section 29A
To be proclaimed
(1) A person who carries with him or through cargo, courier, post or other means Nepalese or equivalent foreign currency or bearer negotiable instrument with a value higher than that specified by the National Bank, or a person who brings abroad from Nepal or brings to Nepal from abroad, the correctness of such currency or bearer negotiable instrument in writing as prescribed. (2) When declaring according to sub-section (1), if the holder brings or takes such currency or negotiable instrument with him, before the relevant customs officer and if he brings or takes it through cargo, courier, post or other means, the relevant cargo, courier or (3) Cargo, courier, post office or other similar service operators shall submit the details regarding currency and bearer exchangeable certificates declared in accordance with sub-section (2) to the relevant customs officer in the prescribed format. (4) If it is suspected that the information declared in accordance with sub-section (1) or (2) or submitted in accordance with sub-section (3) is false or incorrect, the customs officer may require such person to show the currency or bearer exchangeable certificate in his possession or may open the suspected cargo, parcel or bridge. (5) Other arrangements related to announcement of currency and bearer exchangeable warrants shall be as prescribed.
