(1) The Government of Nepal shall bear the medical expenses incurred when the President or Vice President is admitted to a hospital in the country and receives treatment, or when treatment is not available in Nepal and they go abroad for treatment on the recommendation of the Medical Board.
(2) If the President or the Vice-President is admitted to the hospital and needs to be hospitalized, the government of Nepal will provide reasonable expenses for up to three people for the hospitalization expenses.
(3) The office of the Prime Minister and the Council of Ministers shall pay the amount for the treatment expenses as per sub-section (1) to the hospital where the President or Vice President is admitted.
