If the inspector has to treat plants, plant produce, biological control agents, beneficial insects or other items, he should disinfect or treat them by adopting one or more of the following treatment methods:-
(a) Fumigation treatment: Treatment should be kept for at least twenty-four hours so that air does not penetrate from the fumigation pesticide.
(b) Treatment by physical methods: treatment by physical methods (such as cold, heat, radiation) based on the characteristics of the enemy organism.
(c) Chemical treatment: Treating with various chemical pesticides (such as dust, seeds, bags etc.).
