Section 18
Candidate's nomination registration
: (1) The candidate's nomination paper must be submitted by the candidate himself or his representative, proposer or supporter to the concerned election officer.
(2) The election officer concerned shall check whether the nomination papers submitted in accordance with sub-section (1) are duly submitted in accordance with this Act and, if duly registered, shall give a copy thereof to the person bringing the nomination papers for registration.
(3) If someone brings for registration a nomination paper that does not have a proposer or supporter, repeats the proposer or supporter, does not have a bond as per Section 63, does not have the correct stamp of the proposer or supporter or the person who is to be a candidate, or is not received in any other way, the election officer shall order the registration of such nomination paper. will have to do. If someone wants to register the nomination paper without correcting the irregularity, the election officer must state the same in the nomination paper and inform the person who registered the nomination paper.
(4) Other documents to be submitted along with the nomination paper shall be as prescribed.
(5) The Election Officer will publish the list of candidates whose nomination papers have been registered on the date, time and place specified in the notification of the election program after the deadline for filing nomination papers.
