In case of death of a candidate
(1) According to section 23, before or after the publication of the final list of candidates, if a candidate dies and a written notice is received from the election representative or any other person, and the election officer is convinced of the matter, the election officer shall cancel the remaining programs related to such election. It should be postponed immediately and information should be given to the commission.
(2) According to sub-section (1), the election officer shall post the notice of postponement of the program in his office for the information of other candidates as well.
(3) If the information as per sub-section (1) is received, the commission shall re-determine the program related to the nomination of the candidate and the date of voting in case of the death of the candidate after the publication of the final list of candidates, including the date of voting in the event of the death of the candidate before the publication of the final list of candidates, so as not to affect the voting program of such election in accordance with this paragraph. should be sent to the election officer.
(4) Notwithstanding anything written in sub-section (3), if the election program is postponed due to the death of the candidate, if the period for completing the work as written in the election program as per sub-section (2) of section 6 is more than ten days, another program shall not be published again and the same The election program should be determined in such a way that the work related to the nomination of the candidates should be completed within the time period of the program so as not to disturb the voting work.
(5) If the election program has been postponed according to sub-section (1), the candidate who submitted the nomination paper before is not required to file the nomination paper again.
