(1) If the owner of the drug wants to have the drug sample re-examined or analyzed in relation to the case of the offense punishable under the Act, the officer who hears the case along with the price of such drug in possession.

(2) After receiving an application according to sub-rule (1), if the officer considering the case deems it necessary to carry out a re-examination or analysis, he shall send an analyst to the rent received with such application and inform the department accordingly.
(3) After receipt of the price of the medicine sent as per sub-rule (2), the analyst will test or analyze the sample of the medicine and send the result to the concerned officer of the department in the format as per schedule-3.
