(1) During inspection, investigation and search according to rule 3 or when any medicine is stopped according to rule 5, the inspector shall take a sample of such medicine.
(2) When taking a sample of medicine according to sub-rule (1), the inspector shall take a sample of such medicine without reducing it to the amount prescribed by the department for the purpose of testing or analysis.
(3) When taking a sample of medicine, the inspector shall give such sample to the owner of the medicine or his representative, send it to the analyst for testing or analysis and also keep it in a separate container and seal it in the department.
(4) The inspector shall give and take the prevailing value of the drug samples taken to be sent to the department as per this rule.
