Rule 9
Report of work, action
(1) Every appeal public prosecutor's office and district public prosecutor's office shall send a monthly report of their actions to the attorney general's office in the format determined by the attorney general's office.
(2) According to sub-rule (1), the monthly report should be sent within seven days of the end of the month and the report of each financial year should be sent within fifteen days of the end of the financial year. But the monthly report of the last month of the financial year can be sent along with the annual report of the same financial year.
(3) In accordance with sub-rule (1), the annual report sent by the public prosecutor's office should, in addition to other things, describe the physical status, workload, actual status of the public prosecutor's office and the necessary recommendations and suggestions.
(4) The Office of the Attorney General shall prepare a monthly report of the work done by him in the format prescribed by the same office.
(5) Every year, the Office of the Attorney General shall submit the annual report of the work done by his office and subordinate offices to the President through the Ministry of Law and Justice within six months of the payment of the current financial year.
(6) In the annual report to be submitted according to sub-rule (5), in addition to the things mentioned in sub-section (2) of Article 136 of the Interim Constitution of Nepal, 2063, the following things should also be mentioned:-
(a) The nature of crimes and the comparative status of crime and population within the country during the year (b) Status of success or failure of the case involving the Government of Nepal,
(c) Provision of allocated budget and resources to the Office of the Attorney General,
(d) Problems seen in cases where the government is the plaintiff.
