6. Executive Director:
(1) The Executive Director will be the administrative head of the hospital.
(2) The executive director will be appointed by the committee. But for the first time after the commencement of this order, the government of Nepal may appoint or appoint at least a gazetted first class or equivalent doctor or a person who has worked as a hospital manager in a poor or non-governmental sector for a period of time as an executive director. (2a) If the level of performance of the executive director appointed or appointed in accordance with the restrictive clause of sub-section (2) is found to be satisfactory, the Government of Nepal may appoint or re-appoint him for another term. (a) Worked in the health sector for at least fifteen years.
(b) Obtained a master's degree in medicine or hospital management.
(c) Completed forty-five years of age.
(4) The term of office of the Executive Director shall be four years.
(5) The duty of the Executive Director shall be to conduct the day-to-day administration of the hospital and to implement the decisions made by the committee.
(6) The appointment, remuneration, service conditions and facilities and other provisions related to work, duties and rights of the executive director shall be as prescribed. The executive director's remuneration, service conditions and facilities shall be as prescribed by the Government of Nepal, unless otherwise specified.
