If the position of the Chairman is vacant for any reason, if he is unable to perform the duties of his position in accordance with Article 101 (6) of the Constitution, if he goes on a foreign visit or is on leave for more than seven days, the senior most member of the Commission shall act as the Acting Chairman of the Commission.
