(1) The functions, duties and powers of the Regional Election Office shall be as follows:-

(a) To maintain or cause coordination between the District Election Offices within its area,< /p>

(b) In the case of a district where there is a regional election office, to use the work, duties and rights of the district election office.

(2) The work, duties and rights of the district election office shall be as follows: /p>

(a) Collecting and updating the voter list,

(b) Keeping records of the voter list in a safe and orderly manner,

(c) Preparing voter ID card To carry out or perform the tasks specified by the Commission,

(d) Prepare up-to-date records of election materials and make proper arrangements for storage and maintenance of such materials and keep them safely,

(e) Commission and arranging arrangements for election and voter education, election-related seminars, training, information and dissemination of messages as determined by the Regional Election Office, (f) arranging appropriate arrangements for the implementation of the Election Code of Conduct issued by the Commission,

(g) To update the records of Nepal government, provincial government and local level employees, employees of Nepal government or provincial government-owned or subsidized institutions and teachers or employees of universities and community schools within the district for election purposes,

(h) Studying and recommending to the Commission regarding the establishment of polling stations, polling centers and sub-centres for elections,

(i) Keeping the details of polling stations, polling centers and sub-centres in the district in the geographic information system. Collecting and updating details for,

(j) Implementing policies and programs approved by the Commission,

(k) Monitoring and evaluating election-related programs and sending the report to the Commission,

(l) Provide necessary assistance to the election officer,

(d) Submit the materials required for the polling station to the polling officer and make arrangements to withdraw them after the work is completed,

(d) ) to perform the tasks as directed by the Commission and Regional Election Office from time to time.
