Rule 30
Central Juvenile Justice Committee
: (1) To coordinate between various bodies related to juvenile justice, the formation of the Central Juvenile Justice Committee as per Section 46 of the Act shall be as follows :- (a) Ghris of the Supreme Court appointed by the Chief Justice - Presiding Judge ([b) . Secretary, Law, Justice and - Member Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs [c) Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs Member (d) Secretary, Ministry of Women, Children and Senior Citizens
(E|) Deputy Attorney General, - Member Attorney General's Office. f) Additional Inspector General of Police, - Member Police Headquarters
(g) Officials or members working as administrative staff of the National Child Rights Council [h) At least one member nominated by the chairman of the committee and three including women (j) Registrar of the Supreme Court appointed by the Chief Registrar and member secretary
(2) A person having the following qualifications may be nominated as a member as per clause (h) of sub-rule (1):-
(a) At least a master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Law or Sociology from a recognized university,
(b) has worked for at least five years in the field of child rights or juvenile justice, and
(c): Not having been convicted of a criminal offence.
(3) According to clause (h) of sub-rule (1), the term of office of the nominated member shall be two years and he may be re-nominated. 04) The procedure for the meeting of the committee will be as determined by the committee itself.
(5) The committee may invite persons related to juvenile justice to the meeting of the committee as required.
