The functions, duties and powers of the Fund shall be as follows: –
(a) Approving policies, plans and programs related to the operation and management of the fund (b) Approving the annual and periodical programs and budgets of the fund and arranging the necessary funds for the same, (c) Preparing poverty alleviation programs and mobilizing supporting organizations to conduct such programs (d) To provide grants and support by preparing the basis and procedures for providing grants or support to run the poverty alleviation program,
(e) To prepare the basis and indicators of poverty measurement of place, region, person, family or community and review the progress of poverty alleviation program accordingly,
(f) To conduct regular monitoring and evaluation of programs related to poverty alleviation conducted with grants and support from the fund (G) Approving plans and programs submitted to the fund (h) to conduct an annual audit of the Fund,
(i) To submit the annual report of the fund's activities throughout the year to the Government of Nepal (j) Approving the organizational form of the fund and creating necessary positions accordingly (k) To do other work necessary to achieve the purpose of the fund.
