Section 26
Establishment of Fund

(1) Social Security Fund has been established to operate and manage social security. Yokosh will remain as a revolving fund.
(2) The fund under sub-section (1) shall have the following amount:-
(a) Amounts received as contributions from contributors and employers for the purpose of social security schemes,
(b) In accordance with prevailing laws related to labor, ten percent amount from the basic salary of the worker every month and the amount added to the savings fund from the employer,
(c) Amounts to be provided to workers for gratuity, pension and other benefits by the employer in accordance with prevailing labor laws,
(d) The amount deposited and to be deposited in the national welfare fund in accordance with the prevailing law regarding bonus,
(e) Amounts currently collected and future collections of social security taxes,
(f) Grant received from Government of Nepal,
(g) Grants, assistance or loans received from foreign governments, international organizations,
(h) The amount of interest and profit received from investment of fund amount,
(i) Amounts received as loans from the Government of Nepal, and
(j) Amount received from any other source.

(4) According to clause (g) of sub-section (2), the fund shall obtain the approval of the Government of Nepal before receiving the amount.
(5) The amount received in the fund according to subsection (2) shall be opened and deposited in an account in a "A" class bank or financial institution licensed to conduct financial transactions in accordance with the prevailing laws relating to banks and financial institutions subject to this Act.
(6) According to sub-section (5), the account of the fund shall be operated by the joint signature of the executive director and the head of accounts.
