Rule 3
Establishment of Fund

(1) A fund named Contingency Insurance Fund has been established to settle the claims of the risk groups that may fall within the geographical area under the non-life insurance policy issued in Nepal and to arrange reinsurance and pay other related insurance risks.< br> (2) The fund under sub-rule (1) shall contain the following amounts:-
(a) Funds received from the Government of Nepal,
(b) Subscription fee received from the insurer,

(B1) Seed money (seed money) received from the subscribed insurer,
(c) the amount of risk covered by the insurers in the policy,
(d) Amounts received by insurers from reinsurance commissions and profits,
(e) Profit received from investment as per rule 8,
(f) Funds received from other sources.

(2A) The subscribed insurer shall deposit the seed amount as per clause (b1) of sub-rule (1) in the fund in such a way that it is not less than the amount as per clause (a) of the same sub-rule and The conditions and procedure for the payment of such amount shall be as prescribed by the Board of Directors.
(3) In the event that the amount accumulated in the fund as per sub-rule (2) is not enough to pay the risk as per sub-rule (1), the insurance committee may impose additional fees on the subscribed insurer.
