In case of loss or damage to the insured postal item or any part of it while in transit by post, the amount of compensation payable under the Act shall not be paid in the following cases:-
(a) if the address entered by the sender is incomplete or incorrect and results in wrong delivery, or
(b) if it is proved that the sender or the addressee has committed any kind of fraud, or
(c) If the addressee has taken delivery of the insured item by duly printing the return receipt,
(d) if no complaint of loss or damage or loss of the insured article is made within 6 months from the date of postal filing, or
(e) loss or damage due to improper or unsafe packaging, or
(f) if there is no visible damage to the exterior of the postal item or to the seal, or
(g) If currency notes or other items of fair value or both are lost in the insured item and the actual value of such items is not insured, or
(h) In the event of loss or damage from the disposition of the goods insured, or
(j) if the article is insured, or (j) In case of loss or damage due to circumstances beyond control.
