(1) When determining compensation for land according to section 19 of the Act, the prevailing local purchase and sale rates at the time of acquisition of the land should also be considered.

< span style="line-height: 1.5;">However, while fixing the compensation points for the land of any area, the Nepal government can give guidance and when fixing the compensation for the land of such areas, compensation should also be given considering the guidance. p>

(2) The Government of Nepal under Section 19 of the Act has published the rates as per schedule 1 for the purpose of road demonstration to bring uniformity in maintaining the standard of compensation for permanent buildings, buildings, walls, etc. from time to time. By publishing a notice in the Nepal Gazette, the Government of Nepal may make necessary changes in the said schedule from time to time or may change the entire schedule.
