(1) A person who performs mineral operations shall do so as not to cause significant adverse effects on the environment. Also, the person doing such mineral work shall adopt the protective measures as prescribed in relation to environmental protection.
(2) If it is found that the person doing the mineral work has a significant (significant) adverse effect on the environment, the department will give necessary instructions to the concerned person to improve such work.
(3) It shall be the duty of the concerned person to comply with the instructions given in accordance with sub-section (2). Explanation: For the purposes of this section, "significant adverse effect on the environment" means the specified effect that may occur on the environment during any mineral operation.
