(1) Upon receipt of the notice of the petition given in accordance with sub-section (1) of Section 50 for review, the public body shall suspend the procurement process until the review committee makes a decision regarding the petition.
(2) Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-section (1), the purchase proceedings shall not be suspended in the following cases:-
(a) If the public body informs the Review Committee after proving that it is necessary to continue the procurement process due to the important public interest involved in the procurement process, or
(b) if a decision cannot be taken by the review committee within the period referred to in sub-section (4) of section 50, or
(c) If the purchase agreement has been concluded.
(3) If the public body does not stop the procurement process in accordance with clauses (a) and (b) of sub-section (2), it shall inform the review committee.
