If the contract is invalid, the result is

(1) If the guthi once established is broken or disintegrated for any reason, the previous work will not be affected.
(2) In the case of a public Guthi, if the Guthi is broken or dissolved for any reason in accordance with sub-section (1), the property of such Guthi shall be transferred to any other Guthi having the same purpose and, in the absence of such a Guthi, to any public organization having the same purpose, and in case of a private Guthi, the beneficiary shall be transferred by order of the registrar. If it is ascertained, such beneficiary and if there is no such beneficiary, his immediate right and if there is no such right, the Guthi founder and if there is no Guthi founder, it will be transferred to other right holders.
(3) If there is no organization or person as per sub-section (2), the property of the broken or dissolved Guthi shall belong to the Government of Nepal.
