: (1) In the case of iodized salt production, importation, supply and sale, the quality of iodized salt should be as determined or recommended by the committee.
(2) The quality of iodized salt determined or recommended by the committee according to subsection (1) will be published by the Government of Nepal in the Nepal Gazette.
(3) Nepal………. The Central Food Research Institute shall have the right to test whether the quality of iodized salt produced or imported is in accordance with the quality mentioned in sub-section (1).
(4) According to sub-section (1), iodized salt that has reached the last date of maintaining the quality should not be supplied or sold in the market.
(5) In order to prevent deterioration, adulteration and contamination of the quality of iodized salt, the method to be adopted by the producer, importer, supplier and distributor during packaging and transportation shall be as prescribed.
