Rule 7
Sectoral Standards on Customer Identification

(1) In addition to the documents and details mentioned in rule 4, the insurance business shall carry out further investigation as follows when identifying the customer:-
(a) Examination of insurance beneficiaries,
(b) To identify the beneficiary while paying or providing any amount, benefit or facility to the beneficiary for insurance,
(c) To identify the risk level of the beneficiary and take necessary measures and to identify the major customers including risk management accordingly,
(d) To identify the beneficial owner or perform other appropriate actions in relation to identifying the real owner thereof.
(2) In addition to the standards mentioned in this regulation, the regulatory body may set additional standards for customer identification based on services, products, equipment, transactions, payment methods, risk, etc.
