Notwithstanding anything contained elsewhere in this paragraph, if any person taking a house disappears without notice for a period of three months or more without paying the balance amount and if he is not found despite giving public notice or correspondence to his address or if he is found, he or any of his owners or representatives If he is not present, the owner of the house has to apply for such a transaction at the relevant ward office of the local level.
(2) If an application is received as per sub-section (1), the concerned ward office will give a fifteen days' notice to the public to appear.
(3) On the publication of the notice as per sub-section (2), the incumbent must be present within such period.
(4) If such a person is not present within the period as per sub-section (3), the concerned ward office may vacate the house so that the belongings remain in their charge or that of another person.
(5) If the person who disappeared according to sub-section (1) returns within six months or sends a representative, the concerned ward office shall take the remaining amount and return the goods to him.
(6) Notwithstanding anything written elsewhere in this section, if the concerned office does not take any action within one month after receiving the application at the concerned ward office of the local level, the owner of the house himself shall apply to the concerned ward office and the nearest police office and open the house with a police officer and at least two local people as witnesses and stand a document and open his belongings. The police should be held responsible.
