Rule 31
Home Leave
: (1) Workers or employees working in tea plantations shall be entitled to home leave with full pay at the rate of one day for thirty days of their working period. Workers or employees must have the leave approved before taking such leave.
(2) According to sub-rule (1), the home leave received by workers or employees can be accumulated up to a maximum of 60 days.
(3) The period worked for the purpose of determining the home leave to be received in accordance with this rule shall also mean the weekly leave, public holiday and other paid leave falling within that period.
(4) If any worker or employee resigns from the job or retires in any other way, he/she will get a lump sum amount at the rate of last paid salary for the purpose of home leave as much as he/she has accumulated.
