Rule 20
Application for driver's license
(1) According to Section 48 of the Act, a person who wants to get a driver's license must submit an application in the form of Schedule-17 to an office along with the fee as per Schedule-3.
(2) When submitting an application according to sub-rule (1), along with the application, a certificate of health certified by a physician recognized by the Government of Nepal in the format as per schedule-18 shall be attached to the application.
(3) Out of the persons who apply according to sub-rule (1), only those persons who have passed the test taken for the driver's license in accordance with section 49 of the Act will be given a driver's license.
(4) When issuing driver's license according to sub-rule (3), driver's license for private vehicle and public vehicle can be issued separately.
(5) Notwithstanding anything written elsewhere in this regulation, no person who has reached the age of sixty years after the commencement of this regulation shall be given a license to drive a large or medium public vehicle.
(6) Schedule-18A until completion of two years of driving a small vehicle. A driver's license will not be issued to drive medium and large vehicles other than those mentioned in
