Rule 8
No right to stay in hostel
(1) Notwithstanding anything contained in this regulation, the right of any student to be admitted to the hostel, to live or to remain in the hostel once admitted shall not be affected.
(2) Without prejudice to the generality of sub-rule (1), no person shall be allowed to be admitted to or stay in a hostel in particular under the following circumstances:-
(a) If not a student,
(b) in respect of any degree, diploma or certificate of examination, seven days after the award thereof,
(c) after twenty-four hours if he is expelled from the school college or any examination for a specified period or for all,
(d) If the school or college being studied is closed for a long period of time or for any reason, but in such a case the committee may allow a student to stay in the hostel for the preparation of any examination.
(e) As a guest of any student staying in the hostel. But the supervisor may allow a student to have a guest for a maximum of three days. The guest so accommodated must follow the rules of the hostel and leave the hostel when told by the supervisor.
