(1) If the land required for an industry exceeds the maximum limit of the land that can be kept according to the prevailing law, such industry can apply to the Government of Nepal through the industry registration body to get an exemption to keep the land up to that amount.
(2) If an application is received according to sub-section (1), based on the needs of the industry, the Government of Nepal may grant an exemption to allow the land to be kept to a specified extent subject to the conditions specified in accordance with the prevailing law.
