(1) In accordance with the notice published under section 5, the person who tenders or overcharges or undercharges, if he is a Nepali citizen, five hundredths of the number of rupees accepted by him, and if he is a non-Nepali citizen, one hundredth of the number of rupees he accepted. 10. As specified in the name of the post, office or officer that publishes such notice, the official goods or customs post or bank shall deposit the total receipts, drafts or note tenders of the same, and if there is a stamp, it should be filed with the post, office or officer where the stamp is called.
(2) Except in the case where the deposit is confiscated according to section 13 or other prevailing Nepalese laws, the deposit kept according to sub-section (1) must be returned to the depositor within thirty days from the date of rejection of the tender given by the person holding the deposit.

(3) If someone's deposit is not returned within the period written in sub-section (2) except for any reasonable reason, after that period, the person holding the deposit can claim and take the annual interest at the rate of hundredths of the number of the deposit.
