(1) There will be a data security committee as follows to keep the database organized and safe:- (a) Secretary of the Ministry - Chairman (b) Secretary, Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers - Member (c) Director General - Member-Secretary
(2) If there is a situation where the data security committee under sub-section (1) needs to obtain all the details of the persons in the database at one time for the purposes of this Act, it shall obtain the data in the mandatory presence of all the members of the said committee.
(3) If the regular work cannot be performed from the primary data storage in the department as a result of a disaster or a technical problem in the system, the data security committee according to sub-section (1) will arrange the necessary arrangements to resume the work from the additional data storage (backup) in the department or government data center.
(4) The data security committee as per sub-section (1) shall arrange necessary arrangements for security of data storage, security of personal event registration record, security of identity card, security adopted at network level, security adopted at application level and other technical security in identity card and registration management system.
(5) Necessary arrangements may be made so that the person concerned can view the details of any entity or person who has access to the personal details of a person in the data repository as prescribed.
(6) The meeting of the committee as per sub-section (1) shall be held at least twice a year. Other procedures related to the meeting of the committee will be as determined by the committee itself.
