(1) Regardless of what is written elsewhere in this Act, personal events including marriages which are automatically annulled according to prevailing laws shall not be registered and certificates thereof shall not be issued.
(2) If a personal incident is brought to be registered according to sub-section (1), a separate record of that incident shall be kept and submitted to the relevant agency or authority to take action in accordance with the prevailing law. 3 Nothing contained in this section shall adversely affect the registration of the birth of a child born as a result of an automatically voidable marriage.
