(1) If a copy of the registration certificate of a vehicle is required under the conditions mentioned in Section 43 of the Act, the owner of the vehicle concerned shall submit an application in the format specified in Schedule-16 to the office that issues such vehicle registration certificate along with the fee as per Schedule-3.
(2) If an application is made in accordance with sub-rule (1), the office shall carry out the necessary investigation and give a copy of the certificate of registration according to the request of the applicant, subject to the Act and other provisions mentioned in this regulation, and shall give a copy of the certificate of registration and the same shall be notified to the concerned police office.
