(1) The authority will develop and implement an accident notification system to make aviation safety effective within the territory of Nepal.
(2) The authority may develop and implement an optional and mandatory accident notification system for the purpose of collecting information that is not included in the accident notification system but has an impact on flight safety.
(3) The Authority may establish an accident statistics system for the purpose of ensuring aviation safety, alerting all concerned about aviation safety and assisting in preventing future accidents.
(4) The authority shall also provide the data as per sub-rule (3) to the ministry from time to time.
(5) The name of the person providing the information for the data system as per sub-rule (3) shall be kept confidential if he does not wish to make it public.
