(1) When paying a check, payment of the amount of the check shall be made by signing or putting a linear stamp on the check form and in the check payment (delivery) book of the post office.
(2) Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-rule (1), if there is any doubt that the payee is unknown, the check shall be paid only with a person marking it. However, payment of checks drawn in the name of a person admitted to a hospital or staying in a hostel or hotel can be made on the recommendation of the superintendent or manager of such hospital, hostel or hotel.
