Rule 13
Opportunity to express opinions
Children who are capable of making their own opinions should be provided an opportunity to express their opinion on the issue before making a decision that will have a direct and long-term impact on children within their scope of work. However, if the opinion expressed by the child is not suitable for the best interest of the child, girl child or all children or their future, this rule shall not be considered as an obstacle to making the necessary decision by informing the child and stating the basis and reason.
