(1) A person, institution or body who wants to install water supply in their real estate shall submit an application to the office in the format prescribed by the department, attaching proof of their ownership of that real estate.

(2) After receiving the application as per sub-rule (1), the office, upon examination of the said application, if it is found that the pipe should be installed in the name of the applicant, the pipe will be installed at the place requested by the applicant after charging the pipe installation fee as per Schedule-1. But,
(1) If there is a shortage of water sources or if it is not possible to connect a water supply to that place from a technical point of view, the office will not be obliged to install water supply.
(2) If it is not possible to connect the water source due to lack of water source, if the capacity of the water source is increased, the office shall give priority to the previous application and connect the water source.
(3) According to sub-rule (2), the applicant shall make arrangements for pipes, meters etc.
