(1) The Jail Administrator shall maintain a separate register book in every Jail for the record of the minors born to female prisoners or dependents of the Jail.
(2) The following details should be mentioned in the book as per sub-section (1):-
(a) Name, surname and address of the minor,
(b) the name, surname and address of the father of the minor; (c) the date of birth and sex of the minor; and (d) Other necessary details.
(3) If the birth of a minor as per sub-section (1) needs to be registered, the prison administrator shall make a recommendation to the relevant body along with the details as per sub-section (2).
